2019 Election is around the corner and National Children's Theatre kick start and National Children's Theatre (NCT) is proud to kick start the year with a production to enlightening children on the voting process. Duck for President is a musical adapted of Doreen Cronin best-selling children's book. The witty, fast paced script with catchy songs will takes audience on an entertaining and fun journey through the election process with shows daily from Tuesday 26 February 2019.

The story begins on Famer Brown's farm, were the good farmer was fed up with doing all the work while the barnyard residents had all the fun. So he gave each animal a job to do. After a day of hard work, the animals didn't like the new arrangement. Especially Duck.

So Duck decide to organize an election to pick someone kinder. The animals all voted-and Duck won! Now he in charge! But Ducks ambitions didn't end there. Soon he became the Mayor of the city, and then President of the country. Was being President fun? Sadly no! So what was Duck going to do?

Along the way Duck learnt some important life lesson, lesson that spill over into learner's feature lives as responsible citizens. What is an election? What is a democracy? Who can vote? What is a debate? How to vote? Why does every vote matters? Can a person escape having responsibilities?

With an ingenious set and use of space and suggestive costuming, Duck for President will be sparking the imaginations of all who watch it. This show is suitable for ducklings (learners age 5 to 12) and as well as senior quackers (adults).
