LIFE SKILLS PROGRAMMES - INTERACTIVE FORUM THEATRE-IN-EDUCATION
Programmes created for the empowerment of SA youth from all socio-economic backgrounds, (Forum Theatre is a technique referred to in a UNICEF publication called "Children First"). Young people learn to identify, debate and deal with choices, responsibilities and pressures they face everyday.
IT'S YOUR LIFE (HIV/AIDS AWARENESS PROGRAMME) 2015
National Children's Theatre touring company visited 20 primary and secondary schools in Soweto, Diepsloot, Alexandra, Tembisa, Benoni, Orange Farm and Sebokeng to present IT'S YOUR LIVE (HIV/AIDS AWARENESS PROGRAMME). NCT would like to thank American Embassy for the grant and as well as the Gauteng Departmen t of Education, principals, teachers and learners for their support. This programme was seen by 6284 learners. The aim of this project was to assist in the social development of the community by empowering young people with knowledge about HIV/AIDS through drama.

Through the power of edutainment, National Children’s Theatre (NCT) in partnership with Gauteng Department of Education presents IT’S YOUR LIFE (HIV/AIDS AWARENESS PROGRAMME) to school learners in Mamelodi, Soweto and surrounding areas. This programme was seen by 2,583 learners.
The production has been made possible by part of a grant of R3 million from the National Lottery Distribution Trust Fund (NLDTF).

"I'm a Special Person" deals with bullying. Anything that impacts on a person's space and self esteem must be addressed.
"Picture This: Teens, Aids and Drugs" - The gap between awareness and behaviour is dangerously big. This production empowers young people to make the right choices for themselves. Programmes are staged at the NCTT theatre and toured nationally.
